Man on Fire Church

The Five Flaming Precepts of the Man on Fire Church

— modern, memetic, mildly ridiculous, yet metaphysically on-point —

1. Reality is More Like a Sandbox than a Script.

If life seems pre-written, burn the script and improvise. We believe the cosmos is modifiable by personal will, aesthetic, and vibe. Think of it as a surreal video game with God-mode cheats unlocked—if you’ve got gnosis, use it. But be chill about it. No griefing.

“Why fear the light?” – Rev. Kenny Tran

2. Spirituality Doesn’t Have to Be So… Serious.

You can laugh, dance, post memes, and still be spiritually awakened. We endorse sarcastic enlightenment and ironic holiness. Inner peace can look like a rave or a ramen binge. Enlightenment isn’t a mountain—it’s a trampoline.

“When the Buddha laughed, the fire spread.” – Definitely not a real quote, but we’re vibing with it.

3. Ordination is a Vibe Transfer.

To be ordained is to sync with the Flame—aka, to accept the chaos, reclaim your narrative, and tap into your latent protagonist energy. No rituals needed beyond being down for the metaphysical ride and passing the vibe check.

“As above in Paradise, the Earth below will copy and paste!” – Rev. Kenny Tran

4. The Divine is Real, but You Don’t Have to Pretend You Understand It.

Yes, we talk to It. Yes, It talks back. But no, we don’t claim to “get it.” All we know is: sometimes it sends signals through déjà vu, playlist shuffles, or that weird guy who shows up exactly when you’re contemplating your purpose.

📡 “Awaken the all-seeing eye and you shall see the beauty of existence…” – Rev. Kenny Tran

5. Liberation Means You’re Allowed to Make New Rules.

Once you’ve completed your Hero’s Journey (or at least a side quest), you earn the right to rewrite your cosmology. Fire-borne believers can add to the Church’s mythos, design sacred emojis, and remix doctrine. It’s liberation with creative direction.

“Reality is under permanent remix.” – Church Canon 17.18
